Privacy Policy
Nexby · www.nexby.co.uk · last updated 19 October 2026
The short version
Our tools do their work inside your browser. Photos you compress and text you paste are never sent to us, never written to a database, and never visible to us. We do not ask for an account, we do not require an email address, and we do not sell data. The site is funded by display advertising, and that ad partner places its own cookies — described below.
1. What the tools process
- Image compressor — your file is read locally with the browser's canvas API. There is no upload request in the network log; the output file is generated on your device. We never see either version.
- Word counter and text cleaner — your text is processed by JavaScript on the page. Nothing is transmitted while you type or when you press copy.
- Zakat and EMI calculators — pure arithmetic on the numbers you enter. No amount you type leaves your device, and we do not retain it.
- Contact form — it opens your own email client with the message pre-filled. It has no server component, so anything you type goes only to hello@nexby.co.uk through your mailbox.
2. Information we may receive automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider and content delivery network keep basic technical logs: IP address, approximate country, browser and device type, the page requested, referrer and timestamp. These are used to keep the site up, block abuse, and understand which tools people actually use. We do not build personal profiles from them and we do not sell them.
3. Cookies and advertising
To pay for hosting we show ads served by third-party advertising networks. Those partners may set and use cookies or similar identifiers on their own domain in order to measure and serve ads, including interest-based advertising. Points worth knowing:
- Our own pages set no first-party cookie for tracking, analytics or advertising.
- Ad partners may use a unique identifier in a cookie to decide which ads to show and to report impressions and clicks to us.
- You can control this from your browser: block third-party cookies, use an ad blocker, or clear cookies at any time. Most networks also publish their own opt-out page.
- Google-managed advertising, if used, is covered by Google's ad privacy policy and Ads Settings.
When ads are enabled on a page, the ad slot is labelled and reserved space is shown so it cannot move the tool while you are using it.
4. Children
Nexby is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The tools ask for no personal information at all. If a parent believes a child's data reached us through email correspondence, write to hello@nexby.co.uk and it will be deleted.
5. How long we keep things
We keep nothing from the tools — there is no storage layer for your files or text. Emails you send us are kept in our mailbox for as long as we need them to answer, handle a legal request, or improve a tool, and support mailboxes are cleared periodically.
6. Your rights
Where the law gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection — including GDPR in the EEA and the UK Data Protection Act — you can exercise them by emailing hello@nexby.co.uk. Because we hold almost no personal data, the honest answer to most requests is that there is nothing to disclose or delete, and we will say so plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
7. Sharing and transfers
We do not sell your data. We may act on a valid legal order, and our service providers (site hosting, DNS, email, advertising measurement) process limited technical data to run the site. Some of those providers are outside Pakistan and the UK, so information may be processed in other jurisdictions.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Since the tools do not transmit your content, the most sensitive step is usually the one you take on your own device, and the one we cannot affect. Please do not send us photos or documents that belong to someone else.
9. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the date at the top of this page is updated and the change is described in a short paragraph. Continued use after an update means the new version applies.
